WRT100: Introduction to Water Resources – 3 credits

Fundamental principles of water resources. Basic concepts and strategies in the study of water, the current focus on water pollution and water purification. Topics include ground water, surface water, water quality, water purification, and water pollution. Presentation of ongoing studies related to work of earth scientists. Prerequisites: Admission to the Water Resources Technology program and placement into MAT120, or MAT121, or MAT122, or MAT150, or MAT151, or MAT152, or higher-level mathematics course for which College Algebra is a prerequisite or permission of the Program Director.
