Provides a review of the anatomical systems of respiration, phonation, articulation and resonance and hearing and their relationship to pathologies of speech, language and hearing. Provides an overview of English phonetics and phonetic transcription including practice with transcription of normal and disordered speech at the entry-level using the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA).
