Live Online courses meet with the instructor via the internet at regularly scheduled dates and times set in the schedule. Students will be required to use online virtual meeting software (Google Hangouts or WebEx, both of which require a camera). This "Live Online" experience approximates the regular in-person class experience. Attendance at online sessions will be expected according to the instructor's attendance policy, which will be stated in the syllabus.

Live Online classes have sessions that meet online on specific days and times. Attendance in these sessions will be at the discretion of the instructor, and additional work will be required on the student’s own time. Access to a computer or mobile device with Internet connection is required.

This course will be taught with multiple attendance options.
For each scheduled meeting of this class, students have the option of attending in the classroom, participating online, or a combination of both. Students can change their mode of participation weekly or by topic, according to need or preference. However, students are required to attend at least three class sessions in person at some point during the course, on days of their choosing. The online portion of this class requires the use of a computer or mobile device with internet access, a webcam, speakers, and a microphone.
Hybrid classes combine a reduced amount of scheduled classroom time with required out-of-class learning activities, typically conducted online.

Hybrid Class meets in-person on campus at the designated location, days and times. Additional online work will be required. This type of class is designed for highly motivated, self disciplined, technology-literate students; requires reliable Web and e-mail address for communication and assignments outside of the classroom. Students taking this class have access to Gateway's on-campus Advanced Cyber Systems Lab (MA2108) to supplement their learning with hands-on activities and in-person tutoring.
The class is a condensed, fast-paced instructional format, with all course competencies being covered in a compressed time-frame while incorporating multiple methods of instruction including in person and online learning. The class will meet in-person, on campus, in the designated classroom, at the specified dates and times indicated.
Students are required to have access to a computer or mobile device, internet access, a webcam, speaker, and microphone; unless otherwise specified. CANVAS is used as the learning management system.

Hands-on Computer Class

The class does not have a specific meeting schedule. However, students may be required to meet virtually with the instructor and/or classmates at agreed-upon dates and times throughout the course. Students are required to have access to a computer or mobile device, and Internet access. CANVAS is used as the learning management system.
Students not logging into CANVAS on the first day of class may be withdrawn.

Class Meets First Eight (8) Weeks

Hybrid classes include face-to-face format on campus at the time listed in the class schedule. The other part will be held online either without a set time to attend or a Live Online session.
Students enrolling in a hybrid class acknowledge they already possess the skills described in the Minimum Computer and Technology Requirements at https://www.mesacc.edu/online/get-started for additional information.

Students must attend either in-person at the location specified for this course section OR they must attend the live-online option at the scheduled class day and time (instructions on how to join the live-online session will be communicated by your instructor prior to the first class meeting).
