For each scheduled meeting of this class, students have the option of attending in-person, virtually, or a combination of both. Students can change their mode of participation weekly or by topic, according to need or preference. However, students are required to attend at least three class sessions in person; the first day of class, the day of the final exam and a lab day of their choosing. The online portion of this class requires the use of a computer or mobile device with internet access, a webcam, speakers, and a microphone.

CNT140AB: Introduction to Networks – 4 credits
Focus on the architecture, structure, functions, components, and models of the Internet and other computer networks. Principles and structure of IP addressing and the fundamentals of Ethernet concepts, media, and operations are introduced.
