Enrollment in both a CHM107 Lecture class and a CHM107LL Laboratory class is required for Natural Sciences designation. Course requires viewing graphic analysis CD which is included in the lab kit. All lab activities are performed at home, which requires the purchase of a lab kit and procuring other student-purchased materials. The lab kit must be purchased at the bookstore.
You will need a scientific calculator for this course. You also will be required to take a photo of lab set ups and paste these photos into your lab reports. Therefore, you must have a camera (or phone that can take and upload photos).

A survey of the fundamentals of general chemistry. Emphasis on essential concepts and problem solving techniques. Basic principles of measurement, chemical bonding, structure and reactions, nomenclature, and the chemistry of acids and bases. Preparation for students taking more advanced courses in chemistry. Note: General Education Designation: Natural Sciences (Quantitative) - [SQ] in combination with: CHM130LL. Arizona Shared Unique Number SUN# CHM 1130 in combination with: CHM130LL. Students may receive credit for only one of the following: CHM130 and CHM130LL, or CHM130AA.
