Introduction to the role and foundational responsibilities of a peer support specialist in the field of addictions and substance use. Explores basic pharmacology, ethics, case management, and crisis management. Recovery-Oriented Systems of Care (ROSC) is emphasized. Note: ASD146 has not been approved by any state's Department of Health Services/Department of Behavioral Services (DHS) and may not lead to certification as a Peer Support Specialist/Recovery Support Specialist by DHS.
