ARC112: Architectural Computer Aided Design II: Plans and Elevations – 3 credits

Computer-aided drafting (CAD). Creation of a fully annotated plan, elevation, and schematic section views including dimensions, notes, symbols, and schedule, using a computer aided drafting software such as AutoCAD. Includes an introduction to three-dimensional (3D) CAD using SketchUp and Building Information (BIM) software such as Revit. Theory and principles of goniometry and manual muscle testing. Measure range of motion of joints and strength of muscles of the head, face, neck, trunk and extremities. Normal range of motion of the spine and extremities. Assess posture and common postural deviations. Palpate and identify pertinent bony and soft tissue structures. Document results of goniometric measurement, muscle testing, palpation and posture assessment. WED232: Therapeutic Massage Practices III – 6 credits

Refinement and integration of technical skills, psychosocial competencies, and role identity. Exploration of techniques to assess and facilitate range of motion and function; purpose, benefits, indications, and contraindications of therapeutic massage for specific neuro-musculoskeletal disorders/injury and special populations. Application of massage techniques with therapists pre- and post-client evaluations of the client. Adaptation of massage techniques for special populations. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in WED231. Corequisites: WED250, or permission of Program Director.

WLD101: Introduction to Welding – 3 credits

Introduction to safe operation of shop equipment and common joining and thermal cutting processes used in the welding industry. It is designed to provide a brief exposure to the SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, OFW, OFC, PAC processes while developing incremental hands-on skills through sequenced lab experiences.
