Advanced camera and darkroom techniques. Aesthetic awareness with personal expression. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in ART131 or permission of Instructor.

Art100, Introduction to Computer Graphic Art, is highly recommended as a precursor to this course. This class is taught using Macintosh computers. A DSLR camera is required. ART132 is required for the Certificate of Completion in Digital Arts: Digital Photography. It is also required for the AAS Digital Arts Digital Photography Track. Additional field trips to be arranged. Students in this class will be provided an Adobe Creative Cloud account tied to their MEID username, for home use on PC or Mac computers (smartphone or tablet mobile devices are not supported) during the duration of this course. Additional Notes: While it is not required, if you wish to work on your assignments on a home computer/laptop, you must purchase a student photography (Lightroom Classic CC & Photoshop CC) subscription from the Adobe Creative Cloud. Your computer will also need to meet Adobe's system requirements. This software is not required for this class because a campus digital media lab is available for student use outside class hours.
