Introduction to the psychological study of sexual orientation and gender identity. Focus on psychological, developmental, social, biological, historical, and cultural aspects. Includes topics related to the recognition and development of sexual orientation and gender identity throughout the lifespan and lived experiences of LGBTQIA+ individuals and communities. Examines prejudice, discrimination, family dynamics, contributions, and current issues impacting LGBTQIA+ individuals, their allies, and communities.
