Class 10298 costs include MAT Course Fee: $5
- Additional Notes: MAT187 requires a graphing calculator. A TI-83, TI-84 is recommended for most sections.
MAT187 is a combination of College Algebra (MAT15X) and Trigonometry (MAT182); this course alone will meet the prerequisite for MAT220. STEM students may also meet the Calculus I prerequisite by taking MAT150/151 followed by MAT187, and this is the preferred path for students with a limited background in Trigonometry.
MAT187 is not recommended for students whose program of study requires MAT212; instead, MAT150 or MAT151 is the best prerequisite option for them. There is no need to have a prerequisite class that includes Trigonometry to be prepared for Brief Calculus.
