EEP411: Sheltered Instruction for Dual Language Settings - Birth to Age Eight – 3 credits

Analysis of sheltered instruction strategies designed to serve the needs of dual language learners ages birth to eight. Includes comparison and evaluation of various language educational models with a focus on asset based behaviors and expectations as well as integrated and targeted language instruction. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in EEP311 or permission of Instructor and (formal admission to an undergraduate educator preparation program or declaration of the BA in Early Childhood Education - Dual Language program or permission of Department or Division).
