ECE216AA: Computer-Aided Engineering – 3 credits

Study and application of engineering graphics, parts modeling, assemblies modeling, and engineering drawings including tolerancing and fasteners using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software. Note: Students may receive credit for only one of the following: (ECE216 and ECE216LL), or ECE216AA. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in ECE103 or permission of Instructor or Division or Department Chair.

  • Class 29401 is sponsored by a NASA Space Grant based upon Weather Balloon Research. Students will receive instruction on microprocessors and sensor construction. Students will design and build a capsule to be lifted as payload into near space by a weather balloon. The data retrieved will be calculated and evaluated. Results will be presented to a consortium of space and engineering experts as part of the final project. Contact tim.frank@gccaz.edu for information.
