CIS166AA: Introduction to Javascript – 3 credits

Introduction to basic JavaScript programming concepts including syntax. Covers Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), programming logic and debugging, as well as forms manipulation and animation. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in CIS133DA or permission of Instructor.

    • Notes: "JavaScript is Cool… and the Market is Hot". That's a slogan that you will come across if you research JavaScript. It's true, the JavaScript language is friendly, powerful and in huge demand among employers.

      This JavaScript class is a great introduction to programming and assumes no prior experience beyond HTML and CSS that students learn in CIS132 or CIS133DA.

      There is no textbook to purchase for this class as all course materials are available online.
      Students often take this class for personal interest, however this course is required for the following Degrees/Certificates offered at SMCC:
      Web Design / Development
      Mobile Programming
      Web App Development
