AVC103: Typography in the Digital Age – 3 credits

Survey of the history of typography and individual designers. Emphasis on the function of typography as an integral part of effective visual communication. Study of type anatomy, mechanics, characteristics, structure, and the principles of effective selection and the relation of copy and image in graphic design.       Using TouchDesigner or Adobe Animate software, students learn about fundamental forms of interactivity and how to utilize data to create (real-time and rendered) interactive animations.
