Common medical terms used in community health work. Requires a practical, clear, and accessible approach that focuses on essential medical terms relevant to their role in serving communities. Key concepts, topics, abbreviations, terms, skills, and body systems. Includes basic medical terminology, common medical terms and conditions, medical abbreviations and acronyms, body systems and related terminology, medical terminology for the social determinants of health, cultural sensitivity and clear communication, and practical application and documentation. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in IPH101, IPH105, and IPH106 or permission of Program Director.
