MPT120: Introduction to Manual Machining – 4 credits

Introduces manual machining operations related to drilling, grinding, sawing, milling, and lathe processes. Development of fundamental skills, practices and safety applications in working with manual machine tools, hand tools, and related equipment common to manufacturing. Provides theoretical and practical experiences related to the machining of various material types to produce a product to industry standards. A grade of C or better required in all Prerequisites. Prerequisites or Corequisites: (MPT101 or MPT101MP) and (MPT111 or MPT111MP), or permission of Program Director.
