AIM111: Introduction to Data Science
– 3 credits
Introduction to the basics of data science, including data handling, problem framing in a data-centric context, the foundational techniques of exploratory data analysis (EDA), data visualization, and data ethics. Students will gain practical experience in using various data science libraries and tools through hands-on exercises and projects. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in (CSC101 and AIM100) or permission of Program Director.

- Notes: For each scheduled meeting of this class, students have the option of attending in the classroom or participating online, or a combination of both. Students can change their mode of participation weekly or by topic, according to need or preference. The online portion of this class requires the use of a computer or mobile device with internet access, a webcam, speakers, and a microphone.
This course will be taught with multiple attendance options.
