BIO156: Introductory Biology for Allied Health

An introductory biology course for allied health majors with an emphasis on humans. Topics include fundamental concepts of cell biology, histology, microbiology, and genetics. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in RDG100, or RDG100LL, or higher, or eligibility for CRE101. One year of high school or one-semester of college level chemistry is strongly recommended.

- Notes: Students have the flexibility to choose between Online or Live Online instruction for each class session throughout the semester.
This course requires the use of a computer or mobile device with internet access, a webcam, speakers and microphone.
This course requires online exam proctoring. Students should have access to a computer or device with the following system requirements: Windows 10 or 11, or, macOS 10.12 to 12+, or iOS 11+, internet access, microphone, and a webcam. Room scans will be required for remote proctored exams. Proctoring fees may be required.
