- Notes: Live Online classes have sessions that meet online on specific days and times. Attendance in these sessions will be at the discretion of the instructor, and additional work will be required on the student’s own time. Access to a computer or mobile device with Internet connection is required.

Class 26617 The topic for this seminar course is Introduction to Computer Aided Design (CAD) and 3-D printing. No background in the subject is required for this course. In this class you'll be taught to use CAD software and use it to design objects for a 3-D printer. You will also be introduced to basics of 3-D printing. The class will not have any exams. Course grades are based on assignment completion and attendance. Students will not need to purchase a textbook or any software for the course. Outside of the regular class time, you should expect each week to spend about 1 hour or less on assignments Students will leave the class with a 3-D printed design and the skills to continue exploring CAD and 3-D printing on their own.
