Introduction of principles, methods, and techniques for communicating with deaf people who sign. Development of expressive and receptive sign skills, manual alphabet, numbers, and sign vocabulary. Overview of syntax, grammar, and culture related to American Sign Language (A.S.L.).
Prerequisites: None. ASL103 suggested as a corequisite but not required.

- Notes: Hybrid classes include face-to-face format on campus at the time listed in the class schedule. The other part will be held online either without a set time to attend or a Live Online session.

Low-Textbook-Cost Class: The total cost of the required materials for this course is $40 or less.
Class 23770 High-speed internet and a video recording device are required to successfully participate in this class. Students are expected to video record themselves for this class.
