Principles of daily animal husbandry, socialization, enrichment, and clinical care of animals housed in campus facilities. Introductory veterinary technology students work on building teamwork, communication and veterinary technical skills encountered in the daily operations of a multi-species veterinary facility. Prerequisites: None. Corequisites: VET101.

  • Costs include VET Course Fee: $50.00
    • Additional Notes: VET101LL is a hands on lab taking care of the Veterinary Technology resident teaching animals. This may include, but is not limited to dogs, cats, rats, rabbits, horses, cattle and goats. Students should expect on average 5 hours of week of animal care duties, including weekends and holidays. The student will start online for orientation before scheduled animal care shifts begin.
