FMT230: Motion Picture Directing – 4 credits

Theory and practice in directing the motion picture. Includes overview of the roles and responsibilities of the film director, examples of film directing, and practice sessions in analyzing a script, creating a scene, working with actors, conducting rehearsals, planning the camera movements and overseeing elements of a production. Note: FMT230 may be repeated for a total of eight (8) credit hours. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in (FMP/FMT117, FMT/MUC120, FMT121, and FMT241) or permission of Instructor.
