AVC240: Cinematography and Directing for 2D/3D Animation

Essential skills, concepts and the use of virtual cameras in 2D and 3D animation environments: planning, pre-production, storyboards and pre-visualization using real-world camera principles is combined with rendering, sound and post-production in a nonlinear environment. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in (ADA/AVC/MMT184, or AVC/MMT185, or FMP108) or permission of Instructor.

- Notes: This course will be taught with multiple attendance options.
1) Attending the class in person on campus on Mondays and/or Wednesdays from 1:00 PM to 3:40 PM.

- Additional Notes: Technology Requirements: Students will need a desktop computer or laptop manufactured within the last three years and with a dedicated graphics card (gpu). Suitable computers may be checked out from GCC with permission of the instructor.
Students will be provided an Adobe Creative Cloud account tied to their MEID username for home use on PC or Mac computers (smartphone or tablet mobile devices are not supported) during the duration of this course. Students should review the minimum configuration requirements to run Adobe CC on their personal device at:
