Introduction to Python programming. Includes general concepts, program design, development, data types, operators, expressions, flow control, functions, classes, input and output operations, debugging, structured programming, and object-oriented programming. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in CIS105 or permission of Instructor.

  • Students taking this class have access to Gateway's on-campus Advanced Cyber Systems Lab (MA2108) to supplement their learning with hands-on activities and in-person tutoring.
    The class is a condensed, fast-paced instructional format, with all course competencies being covered in a compressed time-frame. The class will meet virtually at the specified dates and times indicated. Students are required to have access to a computer or mobile device, internet access, a webcam, speaker, and microphone, unless otherwise specified. CANVAS is used as the learning management system.
    Students not attending class on the first day of class may be withdrawn.
