Introduction to multiple elements of digital imaging. Basic foundation in photographic manipulation of images, with special attention to aesthetic foundations underlying photographic composition. A grade of C or better required in all Prerequisites. Prerequisites or Corequisites: AVC100 or permission of Instructor.

  • Costs include AVC Course Fee: $40.00
    • Notes: This course uses the current version of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop CC software to demonstrate concepts, tools, and working methods common to many computer graphic programs. Taught using Macintosh computers.
      Class 17805 costs include AVC Course Fee: $40
    • Additional Notes: While it is not required, if you wish to work on your assignments on a home computer/laptop, you must purchase a student photography (Lightroom Classic CC & Photoshop CC) subscription from the Adobe Creative Cloud. Your computer will also need to meet Adobe's system requirements. This software is not required for this class because a campus digital media lab is available for student use outside class hours. Purchasing information will be available in Canvas when the course starts or by contacting the instructor and is expected to cost $9.99 per month.
