ECE216AA: Computer-Aided Engineering – 3 credits

Study and application of engineering graphics, parts modeling, assemblies modeling, and engineering drawings including tolerancing and fasteners using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software. Note: Students may receive credit for only one of the following: (ECE216 and ECE216LL), or ECE216AA. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in ECE103, or ECE103EP, or permission of Instructor or Division or Department Chair.

      SOLIDWORKS2025 by Dassault Systemes
      You do not need to purchase access to the SOLIDWORKS software since it is provided for students free in this course. Instructions are provided in the course on how to download and install this necessary software.
    • Additional Notes: Students will need a Windows based 64 bit computer running Windows 7 or higher. MAC products will be a problem and will not accommodate download and operation of the SolidWorks program.
      Lab Kit: This course requires the use of materials from the ECE216/LL Lab Kit which must be purchased from the Rio Salado College Bookstore.
