EEP312: Family, Community, and School Collaboration for Dual Language Learners - Birth to Age Eight – 3 credits

Examines multiple influences on the development of the dual language learner (birth to age eight). Considers foundational structure provided by and reinforced by the family. Recognizes multiple messages of value and power communicated through community structures. Includes strategies for relationship building between families, school, and community with a long term goal of encouraging dual language learners. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in EED200 or permission of Instructor and (formal admission to an undergraduate educator preparation program or declaration of the BA in Early Childhood Education - Dual Language program or permission of Department or Division).
