First level of English as a Second Language (ESL). Emphasis on basic conversational skills, pronunciation, vocabulary building and grammar. Some reading and sentence level writing. Note: ESL010 may be repeated for a maximum of six (6) credits. Credit (P) or no credit (Z). Standard grading available according to procedures outlined in catalog. Prerequisites: Appropriate ESL placement test score.
