Class meets face-to-face on campus at the designated days and times.
Class 12668 is sponsored by a NASA Space Grant based upon Weather Balloon Research. Students will receive instruction on microprocessors and sensor construction. Students will design and build a capsule to be lifted as payload into near space by a weather balloon. The data retrieved will be calculated and evaluated. The results will be presented to a consortium of space and engineering experts as part of their final project. Students must submit an application and be accepted into the class before they can enroll. Email instructor at tim.frank@gccaz.edu for an application.
