MAT230: Calculus with Analytic Geometry II – 5 credits

Techniques of integration for both proper and improper integrals with applications to the physical and social sciences, elements of analytic geometry, and the analysis of sequences and series. Note: Students may receive credit for only one of the following: MAT230 or MAT231. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in MAT220, or MAT221, or equivalent.

	Notes Notes: This class meets for an 8-week period during the full length semester. Students should expect an increased amount of work each week during the 8 weeks as compared to the same class offered in the full semester. Students are encouraged to work with an academic advisor to be sure their course load is balanced over the course of a given semester. A graphing calculator is required for this course. A TI-83 or TI-84 is strongly recommended. Calculators with a CAS (Computer Algebra System) are not allowed. Low-Textbook-Cost Class: The total cost of the required materials for this course is $40 or less.
