Increase personal fitness, strength, and vitality. Current principles of cardiovascular exercise, weight training, flexibility, and balance exercises applicable to lifetime fitness goals. Personalized fitness plans developed and implemented with support of highly trained fitness professionals. Techniques to make sessions more effective and enjoyable. Prerequisites: None. Note: PED115 may be repeated for a total of eight (8) credit hours.

Class meets in-person on campus on the designated days and times. Additional work will be required online.
Class 11558 is A-F grading.

- Additional Notes: Due to the hours required in this class, we strongly recommend that students only register for one fitness course per semester.
Students may work out at GCC Main and/or GCC North with a current GCC ID card and enrolled in a current section.
Students must complete a fitness center orientation, and begin exercising prior to the course 'Must Show' date, to avoid being withdrawn from class as a No-Show. Please call the fitness center front desk at (623) 845.3800 for more information.
Students enrolled with a current GCC ID card and enrolled in a current section have access to the Fitness Centers, Group Fitness Classes, and Senior Fitness Classes at the Main and North campuses as well as the Adapted Fitness Center at the Main campus.
