BIO201: Human Anatomy and Physiology I – 4 credits

Study of structure and function of the human body. Topics include cells, tissues, integumentary system, skeletal system, muscular system, and nervous system. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in (BIO156, or BIO156XT, or BIO181, or BIO181XT, or one year of high school biology) and (RDG100, or RDG100LL, or higher, or eligibility for CRE101). CHM130 or higher or one year of high school chemistry suggested but not required.

Students should expect an increased amount of work each week during the 8 weeks as compared to the same class offered in the full semester. Students are encouraged to work with an academic advisor to be sure their course load is balanced over the course of a given semester. This course requires online exam proctoring. Students should have access to a computer or device with the following system requirements: Windows 10 or 11, or, macOS 10.12 to 12+, or iOS 11+, internet access, microphone, and a webcam.
