BIO156: Introductory Biology for Allied Health
– 4 credits
An introductory biology course for allied health majors with an emphasis on humans. Topics include fundamental concepts of cell biology, histology, microbiology, and genetics. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in RDG100, or RDG100LL, or higher, or eligibility for CRE101. One year of high school or one semester of college level chemistry is strongly recommended.

Notes
Hybrid classes incorporate multiple methods of instruction including in person and online learning. Attendance in scheduled class sessions are mandatory. Students are required to have access to a computer or mobile device, internet access, a webcam, speaker, and microphone, unless otherwise specified. CANVAS is used as the learning management system.
This course requires one in-person proctored test during finals week as listed in the syllabus.
