RDG100: Successful College Reading – 3 credits

Emphasis on reading study strategies for any introductory class in any subject area. Introduction to Learning Management System (LMS), how to successfully read course textbooks and assessments, how to navigate information technology and development of academic vocabulary. Note: RDG100 satisfies RDG091 requirement. RDG100 may be repeated for a total of twelve (12) credit hours. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in ALT100, or ESL202, or appropriate reading placement, or permission of Instructor. Corequisites: Any 100-level course in another content area, or permission of Instructor.

  • This is an intensive 8 week course which begins in January.
    Students who wish to complete RDG 100 and CRE 101 within one semester and with the same instructor should enroll in RDG100 #10487 and CRE101 #10470. You will have the same instructor for both 8 week classes.
    Online classes do not meet at specific scheduled times. Students are required to have access to a computer or mobile device, and Internet access. CANVAS is used as the learning management system. You are required to log into CANVAS on the first day of class.
