Electric charge and current, electric and magnetic fields in vacuum and in materials, and induction. AC circuits, displacement current, and electromagnetic waves. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in MAT230 or MAT231 or permission of Department or Division and PHY121. Corequisites: MAT241 or permission of Department or Division.

      All of your assignments and work will be internet based without set meeting days or times to attend. Students and faculty interact with Canvas via email, video, and threaded discussions. A lot of your work will be self-paced, but there are establish deadlines and expectations.
      Class 16756 LEC is offered concurrently with PHY 131, 16757 LAB (ONLINE); student MUST register for both PHY 131 LEC, Class 16756 and PHY 131 LAB, 16757 at the same time.
      Students are required to download and use Respondus LockDown Browser + Monitor which requires a webcam and microphone. Chromebooks do not support this software.
