Adobe Photoshop Level II: Advanced Digital Imaging (CIS220DF) 3 Credits

Goes beyond the basic use of palettes, selections, layers, menus, and tool options, and focuses on using Photoshop software's advanced features to manipulate and correct digital and digitally produced images. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in CIS120DF or permission of Instructor.

      This section is part of our Advanced Graphic Design Lab-Based Learning (LBL) class and includes the following courses: CIS220DC and CIS220DF. Students in this LBL class complete a variety of instructor-led hands-on labs, in addition to reading/studying the textbook, video tutorials, and graphic design assignments. This will be explained in full during the first class period.

      This course is part of the IT: Web and Graphic Design Degree/Certificate at SMCC; but may also be taken as an elective or for personal interest.

      Courses in this Lab-Based Learning class are offered in the same course at the same time. Students may take CIS220DC and CIS220DF concurrently (together) with the permission of the instructor. Please contact the Division Secretary for more information: 602-243-8012

    • Additional Class Notes: Due to COVID related campus lab closures, students will be provided an Adobe Creative Cloud account tied to their MEID username, for home use on PC or Mac computers (smartphone or tablet mobile devices are not supported) during the duration of this course. Students should review the minimum configuration requirements to run Adobe CC on their personal device at:

Computer-Aided Engineering (ECE216) 2 Credits

Introduction to engineering graphics, including tolerancing and fasteners, as well as creation and use of engineering drawings. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in ECE103, or ECE103EP, or permission of Instructor or Division or Department Chair. Corequisites: ECE216LL.
