A descriptive analysis of the structure and functioning of the American economy. Emphasis on basic economic institutions and factors that determine national income and employment levels. Consideration given to the macroeconomic topics of national income, unemployment, inflation and monetary and fiscal policies. Prerequisites: None.

      Class 11026 meets on campus, in-person, in a mediated classroom (NCC215) located in the North Campus Compound (NCC) building on the north end of campus. The mediated classroom has a unique set up in that the furniture is socially distanced for your protection and part of the student population will attend the class virtually online at the same time. Refer to your syllabus on Canvas for further directions from the instructor.
