Overview of how color is perceived and utilized in a digital environment and how to ensure consistent color from capture to final output in print or online. Investigate visual solutions utilizing electronic devices for color correction, manipulation and integrity. Prerequisites: None.

      Live Online Classes have live online sessions that meet on specific days and times. Attendance in these live online sessions is mandatory. Additional online work that is not synchronous may also be included during the duration the classes are offered and have set due dates for assignments. Students are required to have access to a computer or mobile device, and Internet access.

      ART113 Color recommended for Fine Arts students.
      SCC Art Department accepts ART295JC in lieu of Art 113 for credit toward completion of the Graphic Design: Visual Communication certification and degree.
      Due to COVID related campus lab closures, students will be provided an Adobe Creative Cloud account tied to their MEID username, for home use on PC or Mac computers during the duration of this course. Students should review the minimum configuration requirements to run Adobe CC on their personal device at Your instructor will provide login directions on the first day of class.
