      This first half of the term will be fact to face in classroom working in a traditional wet darkroom, hand developing film and making gelatin silver prints as the foundation of the semester.

      The second 8 weeks beginning October 19th will be online and will be introducing digital technology. A digital camera, either a phone, point and shoot or DSLR, will be required to focus on conceptual exploration of photography. Students must also attend scheduled remote sessions. Device with internet access required.
      Class 17845 costs include ART Course Fee: $40
    • Additional Class Notes: Requires a 35mm manual SLR film camera. Cameras are available to check out for the term. For questions regarding camera requirements or specifications, contact instructor.
      This is a traditional wet darkroom course, hand developing film and making gelatin silver prints is the basis for the semester.

Introduction to Holocaust Studies (HUM245) 3 Credits

Introduction to essential information about the Holocaust. Provides theological, social and political background to establish contexts of anti-Semitism, especially in 19th and 20th centuries, with particular attention to National Socialist ideologies. Ghetto and camp life, including resistance, are explored. Emphasis is on texts of the Holocaust, including historical documents, participant testimonies, fiction, creative non-fiction, and poetry, much of which involves theological and moral debate. Includes analysis of supplementary visual material and some performing arts.
