Introduction to myofascial release techniques and application. Myofascial Release (MFR) is a therapeutic modality that allows restricted fascia to release from a tightened state. MFR improves nerve conductivity and circulation of blood and lymph, which allows the healing powers of the body to flow to restricted tissues. Introduction to the gentle-touch approach to massage for individuals who are living with or have survived cancer. Overview of cancer and principal cancer treatments. Clinical considerations, including practice guidelines and hands-on adjustments related to cancer and treatment side effects. Administrative considerations for client intake, treatment plans and session documentation. In addition, comprehensive practical application of massage.
