Topics include health care delivery systems, HIM career paths, HIM functions, and HIM in acute and alternative care settings. Prerequisites: Acceptance into the (Medical Coding: Hospital-Based, or Medical Billing and Coding: Physician-Based, or Health Information Technology) program, and permission of Program Director.
