RDG100: Successful College Reading – 3 credits

Emphasis on reading study strategies for any introductory class in any subject area. Introduction to Learning Management System (LMS), how to successfully read course textbooks and assessments, how to navigate information technology and development of academic vocabulary. Note: RDG100 satisfies RDG091 requirement. RDG100 may be repeated for a total of twelve (12) credit hours. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in ALT100, or ESL202, or appropriate reading placement, or permission of Instructor. Corequisites: Any 100-level course in another content area, or permission of Instructor.

    Hybrid classes incorporate multiple methods of instruction including in person and online learning. Attendance in scheduled class sessions are mandatory. RDG 100 #19685 will meet every Wednesday from 11:00am-12:15pm beginning September 28,2026. Students are required to have access to a computer or mobile device, internet access, a webcam, speaker, and microphone, unless otherwise specified. CANVAS is used as the learning management system.
