EXS290: Introduction to Evidence-Based Practice
– 3 credits
Introduction to Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) as a framework for logical reasoning and informed decision-making in professional settings, particularly in the movement sciences. Students formulate professional questions, acquire and appraise relevant evidence, synthesize findings, and explore practical applications. Specific emphasis on the use of data to inform recommendations and consideration of audience, purpose and context to communicate effectively in both written and oral presentations. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in ENG101 or ENG107 or permission of Instructor. EXS101 OR HES100 OR FON100 OR FON241 recommended.
