ECE103: Engineering Problem Solving and Design – 2 credits

Fundamentals of the design process: engineering modeling, communication and problem-solving skills in a team environment. Emphasis on process-based improvements to the design process. Introduction to engineering as a profession. Note: Student may receive credit for only one of the following: ECE103 or ECE103EP. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in ECE102 or permission of Instructor or Division or Department Chair.

      Students enrolled in this course MUST BE computer literate and self motivated.
      Students are required to be present live online for a final presentation one day during the week of July 5 - 8th, date will be announce in Canvas. A mic and camera will be needed for the live online presentation.
      Student may register for ECE103, if student has completed MAT220/221 and has not completed PHY111 or 112.
      A computer with Windows 10, 64-bit or Windows 7 SP1, 64-bit with a processor of 3.3 GHz or higher, a RAM of 16 GB or more, PDM Contributor or Viewer: 8 GB or more or ECC RAM recommended. For graphic card and drives please refer to https://www.solidworks.com/sw/support/SystemRequirements.html.
      This course requires the use of a computer or mobile device compatible with required courseware, internet access, a webcam, speakers and microphone
