      Class meets face-to-face on campus at the designated days and times.
      This is a two night camping trip to Chiricahua National Monument. The Monument is located southeast of Wilcox Arizona. Enjoy two nights of camping in the pines and a moderately challenging ten-mile day hike through the monument. Special fee covers entrance to the Monument and camping fees, and is paid at the time of registration. We will be providing transportation to and from the Bonita Campground in the Chiricahua Wilderness. This trip is planned for Friday, March 31-Sunday, April 2. There will be two orientation sessions (February 23 @ 5:30pm, and March 21 @ 6:30pm) focusing on class expectations, how to prepare and what to expect. Those new to camping are encouraged to participate.

      This 6-mile hike will give students the opportunity to visit one of Sedona’s most popular hiking destinations, and Sedona’s largest sandstone arch, Devil’s Bridge. Beginning at the Chuckwagon Trailhead, this hike will traverse one of Sedona’s famous red rock trails, culminating with one of its most iconic photo opportunities. Transportation from GCC to the trailhead and back will be provided. The hike will be on Saturday March 11, returning the same day. There will be a general orientation on February 23 at 6:30 pm, followed by a more specific meeting on February 28 at 6:30pm. This is a challenging hike and participants are expected to arrive in shape and ready to go the day of the hike. The first class meeting is mandatory.
