FMT136: 16mm Film Workshop: Post-Production – 3 credits

Introduction to elements of post-production for motion picture and television. Focuses on editing, titles, sound design and marketing strategies. Post-production and marketing of one film and one video required. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in FMT135 or permission of Department or Division.

  • FMT134, FMT135 and FMT136 are Cohort Workshops and must be taken in consecutive order (134 first, 135 second, and 136 last). For example, students who register for the FMT 134 Cohort 1 class should continue throughout the sequence by enrolling in the next sequential Cohort 1 classes. Students may not take a break between any of the courses and need to finish with the same cohort (taking each course at the same time of day until completion of the sequence).

    This accelerated course has a significant time commitment and may involve physical tasks such as lifting or moving equipment boxes weighing up to 60 pounds.
    Students are required to furnish their own external hard drive. Details to be explained at the first class meeting.

FMT296WA: Cooperative Education – 1 credit

Work-college experiences that involve the combined efforts of educators and employers to accomplish an outcome related to the career objectives of the students. Prerequisites: Completion of at least twelve (12) college credits, minimum 2.6 grade point average and be able to obtain a position related to student's academic or career goals (student's present job may qualify) or permission of Instructor. Corequisites: Must be concurrent in at least one class which is related to student's major or career interest or with permission of the Instructor.
