RES230: Respiratory Care Fundamentals IV – 4.5 credits

Advanced respiratory care therapy and patient-ventilator assessment, including modes of ventilation, hemodynamic monitoring, and pulmonary function testing. Assisting physicians during special procedures. Equipment operation, quality assurance, and maintenance. Use of effective communication skills. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in RES220 or permission of the Program Director.

  • Hybrid classes incorporate multiple methods of instruction including in person and online learning. Attendance in scheduled class sessions are mandatory. Students are required to have access to a computer or mobile device, internet access, a webcam, speaker, and microphone; unless otherwise specified. CANVAS is used as the learning management system.
