OTA217: Occupational Therapy Assisting Pediatrics II – 3 credits

Distinguishes between typical and atypical pediatric development. Common pediatric health conditions of infants, children, and adolescents. Occupational therapy practice models, theories, and delivery contexts found in pediatrics. Focus on synthesizing prior learning and specific pediatric treatment activities to develop pediatric treatment plans. Prerequisites: Admission to the Occupational Therapy Assistant program and a grade of C or better in OTA102, OTA117, and OTA216.
