MPT270: Tooling, Fixtures, and Gauges – 3 credits

Various types of tools, fixtures, and gauges and their function as related to manufacturing processes. Clamping and workholding principles as well as use of appropriate hardware. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in [(MPT120, or MPT120MP, or four National Institute of Metalworking Skills (NIMS) in CNC Machining or Manual Machining) and (MPT150 or MPT151)], or CAD101, or CAD201, or Certified SolidWorks Associate (CSWA), or permission of Program Director.
