MPT151: Solid Design I: SolidWorks – 3 credits

Introduction to solid modeling and parametric design of mechanical components. Use of SolidWorks commands. Creation of single part in two-dimensional (2D) sketch, three-dimensional (3D) solid. Feature based components and feature associativity. Initial preparation for the Certified Solid Works Associate (CSWA) exam. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in (MPT101 or MPT101MP) and (MPT111 or MPT111MP), or permission of Program Director.
