Texas Instruments model TI-83, 83 Plus, 84 or 84 Plus, is strongly recommended. Approved calculators are allowed on the proctored exams. Calculators with symbolic manipulating capabilities, or CAS, such as TI-89, TI-92 or TI-Nspire CAS are not allowed on exams.
Rio Salado Calculator Checkout: The Rio Salado College Library has a small number of approved calculators available for checkout. Check the library catalog for availability.

A graphing calculator is required for this course. A TI-84 graphing calculator (TI-84 Plus Silver Edition, TI-84 Plus C Silver Edition, or TI-84 Plus CE) is strongly recommended. Calculators with a CAS (Computer Algebra System) are not allowed.
